When Rachel and I were preparing for the birth of our son we did the research any new parents do about must-have products for parenting a newborn baby. I have to say- initially I imagined the newborn phase being the easier parenting phase. I mean- there’s not going to be battles about the color of the cup you give your kid like there are during the toddler phase, or fights about boyfriends and girlfriends or tattoos like there are with teenagers.

Wrong, wrong, and well just WRONG!

Dad’s Pet Peeve!

By: Daddycomment

Boy behind Target shopping cart

As parents, I believe something happens to us, the moment our child is born, that causes us to develop more pet peeves.  Some may argue that mothers have these more so than dads. Well, I’m a dad and I discovered I have a pet peeve when it comes to my son!  Fair warning, yep I […]

The Disappearing Wheelchair

By: Daddy1 Comment

Since Jacob’s birth, 5 years ago, I‘ve noticed my wheelchair has become a lesser part of my identity.  It’s as if my wheelchair is disappearing!  In my head, I wonder if society has changed drastically in the past 5 years or has my becoming a dad become equalizer in society? It’s hard to remember life […]
